Coastside Adult Day Health Center

Ok - Do you know anyone that may not be as young as they once were...?  Do you imagine one day you may not be as spry as you are today.  Well, maybe those we have in mind, or ourselves could benefit from the Adult Day Health Center here on the Coast.  We are truly lucky to have such and amazing facility and caregivers here in our community.  http://www.coastsideadultdayhealth.org/

The Center helps persons of all ages that may be disabled or recovering, as well as more mature adults in need of care.  Please visit the website and consider what we can do to ensure this institution is available and well run in years to come, and consider visiting the Dream Machines this Sunday.

Dream Machines is the Centers biggest fund raiser of the year and provides both entertainment and education of all things flying and driving. as well as awesome music all day.  I hope to see you there.   http://www.miramarevents.com/dreammachines/cadhc.html

Parcel Tax - Measure E - FOCUS - What do I think? -

If we do not pass Measure E here on the coast - my outlook is grim for us, our children and our school system.

I am writing this to you because if you live on the coast and this impacts you.
The lack of funding affects not just our schools and the children of our community – but also affects the services that is made possible through a vibrant and educated community.
The school systems affect us in every way – what potential buyers consider if moving to the coast, how quickly your home will sell if you want or need to sell, and how much money your home will sell for.
Schooling is one of the main concerns when determining where to purchase a home and how they value living in that community is worth.
Please understand Measure E and what it means for our community and please vote when the time comes in June.

Because we a need 67% YES vote to pass Measure E for our schools, we need hundreds of volunteers to step up for our schools—our children need your help.
While some might be disheartened by previous attempts to pass a local education funding measure, it is important to understand that circumstances have changed this time around. I believe that NOW is the time that we can really pass Measure E and protect the high-quality education that our schools provide for local kids.
Here’s how circumstances have changed:

• The current state budget cuts to education have created a heightened sense of awareness in our community that our schools need increased revenue.

• The community understands that increased class sizes, reduced teaching ranks and less funding for academic programs will harm the quality of our children’s education. In fact 72% of local voters believe that budget cuts are impacting our kids’ education.

• Cunha Middle School, located in the heart of our community, has been beautifully refurbished.

• An independent poll shows that with an active and aggressive campaign, we can achieve up to a 74% YES vote on Measure E.
But we cannot do it alone—we need your help! Please join me and Friends of Cabrillo Unified Schools (FOCUS) and step up for our kids by volunteering for the campaign. To get involved, simply respond to this email, or come to the community meeting to learn about how you can help the campaign.
